children's MINISTRY

GLBC offers quality Wednesday and Sunday programs for infants-5th grade. We believe every child should have a fun and safe place where they can learn about Jesus while they enjoy being a kid! Ongoing opportunities for children include Bible study and children's choirs (for ages 3 - 5th grade). Childcare is provided for children from birth - age 4 during all regularly scheduled worship services.

Through the year we offer fun events with special guests or field trips, such as Family Fun Nights, Fall Festival, Day Trips to nearby museums and parks, an Easter Egg hunt in the Spring, Vacation Bible School, Summer Day Camps, and much, much more. To learn more about Summer Day Camp, please email jphillips@glbcrome.org

WOW (Worship On Wednesday) is for our children ages babies - fifth grade. Dinner is served from 5:30pm - 6:00pm, with the program starting at 6:00pm in the KidZone.

Our goal is to teach children and their families how to worship God in their everyday lives through their actions, their words and their attitudes. Providing learning and discipleship opportunities for children is all a part of “loving people with the love of Christ!"

Youth MINISTRY
We believe that God has a huge plan for our youth and we want to do our part in helping them fulfill all that God has in store for their lives.

Our youth ministry is a place where students can have a place to belong, learn what they believe, and become the person God wants them to be.

We offer three ongoing weekly events for students in 6th Grade - 12th Grade:

Sundays
9:15 a.m. Youth Sunday School in what we lovingly call, "The Dungeon."
10:30 a.m. Worship in the Sanctuary

Wednesdays
6 p.m. Youth Bible Study in the Youth room/Gym (dinner provided).

Each program is designed specifically with students in mind. We incorporate small group studies and mission projects as well as times of worship for our students.

In addition to our weekly activities, we also offer Summer Youth Camp, March Mission Madness, mission and outreach activities, and other events throughout the year. To find out more about these activities, please email our Youth Directors at kcivester@glbcrome.org.
ray club
The Ray Club at Garden Lakes Baptist Church is an organization for persons who are Retired, Active, and Youthful. Members are generally in the age range of sixty years and above. The membership consists of Garden Lakes Baptist Church members and other persons from the surrounding community.

The RAY Club meets monthly, nine months per year (September through May), usually on the first Thursday of each month. Each meeting includes food, fellowship and an entertaining or informative program presentation. Special music is always provided by the "Live Embers", the senior adult choir of Garden Lakes Baptist Church.
women's ministry
Women's ministries provide women with an opportunity to study God's word, serve others, and give and receive biblically sound support. Our ladies meet the second Wednesday of every month at Landmark Diner at 11am. This is a time for good food, fellowship, encouragement and prayer.

The women's mission group, Women of the Great Commission, meets the first Tuesday of each month for a time of prayer and mission project planning. These projects are local, national, and international.

We will also host different events throughout the year. Book clubs, conferences, and retreats are just a few of the activities!
men's ministry
Our Men's Ministry seeks to groom the men of the church to be what God called them to be. They provide support, prayer, fellowship for our fellow church members, as well as each other. Our men meet every Tuesday morning for a prayer breakfast, and they consistently lend a hand during church events, whether it be before, during, or after! You'll find our men building at-home wheelchair ramps for those in need, offering a helping hand behind the grill at church cookouts, and anything else we may need.

Our Men's Ministry host different events and get togethers throughout the year to build upon the importance or prayer, leadership, and fellowship throughout the church!

THE GADABOUTS

The Gadabouts are Senior Adults from Garden Lakes Baptist Church that love travel and fellowship. Truly one of the most fun parts of being a member of GLBC, this group knows how to have a good time. Our gadabouts have visited the Grand Canyon, the Canadian Rockies, Hawaii...and that's just in the past year!

From short weekend trips to longer stays, there is no place off limits for the Gadabouts! And of course, with this group, "getting there is half the fun!"

Check out the bulletin board in our Adult Sunday School area or continue reading below to see a list of upcoming trips. Interested in signing up? Fill out the contact form and we will take you through the registration details for your desired trip.
