Nehemiah and Commitment
Dear Lord,
In Your boundless grace, I seek strength to uphold my commitments. Empower my heart to remain steadfast in my promises and loyal in my actions. May Your guidance illuminate my path, helping me to honor my responsibilities with love and sincerity. Grant me focus and unwavering determination.

There is no two greater gifts that can be given than "Love" and "Forgiveness" On Easter we remember that Jesus Christ gave all of us these two gifts.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. PETER 1:3
In Christ, we see a love so intense, so sacrificial, so incomprehensible, it makes all human expressions seem frivolous in comparison.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. Proverbs 31: 25-26
Mother can be defined many ways; my favorite is as a verb found in the Cambridge Advanced Learners Dictionary and Thesaurus:
"to treat a person with great kindness and love and to try to protect them from anything dangerous or difficult" the best definition I believe.
Mother's Day Prayer
Lord, on this day in which we honor mothers, may we love and cherish the special women who have born us, who have nurtured us, and who have prayed for our well-being.
May our hearts overflow with gratitude to you, who formed and knitted each of us in a mother’s womb. We pray you give each mom strength. We ask you to be the daily bread of tired mothers. May each mother find rest in you.
Amen.
MAY 18 2025 | LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED
We all have troubles in our life, things that stress us, financial, personal, marital, or family.
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3
As we send our children into the world we should remind them to "Trust in the Lord" We all need a reminder sometimes, maybe this why we have troubles to remind us of our need for the Lord in our life. We cannot do it all by ourselves.

Membership at Garden Lakes
Joining the church signifies that you want to be a part of our church family as well as part of the larger family of Christ. We welcome all baptized followers of Christ to be a part of the Garden Lakes family.
So, how do you join? Near the end of our Sunday morning worship services, usually at the end of the sermon, our pastor will invite anyone who wishes to join the church to come speak to him as the congregation sings a hymn of invitation.
We invite you to join our church by any of the following methods:
- Accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior. Following this decision, we will set up a time to discuss baptism with you and set a date for baptism.
- For those who are already Christians and have been baptized, we invite you to simply come forward to express your desire to be part of our church family, joining by letter or statement. We will contact your previous church to let them know of your decision.
